The internationally acclaimed Old Globe Theater is a gathering place for leading theater artists and sets a standard of excellence in American theater. Hoping to expand their audience a series of plays called “3 Facets” were produced targeting young adults 18-35. These plays are a memoir of soaring emotions and brilliant humor written by Sam Shepard. True West, Ages of the Moon and Kicking a Dead Horse deal with love, rivalry, aspirations, and the quest for happiness. The common thread in the 3 plays is the intertwining of characters, edgy nature of relationships and the human mind. The direct mail piece introduces contrasting hues of green and red on a neutral color crowded by raw textures. A Victorian slab typeface compliments the black and white imagery and the project includes a reply card, envelope, season theme banners, and tickets.
